I’m not Christian, but I can appreciate the wisdom written into the Bible. I have a few favorite stories and verses. One verse, in particular, is constantly on my mind – drilled in from a very young age, and then branded for life in college when we sang a choral arrangement of it that was quite beautiful. The last line of the song is the most important line, in my opinion.
Where your treasure is, there will your heart be.
You invest time and energy in your treasure. What you treasure will be apparent by where you spend your time. Our time is really the only currency we own. How did you squander your allowance today?
If you want me to invest in you, you will have to invest in me first.
If you continue to do what you’ve always done, you will continue to have nothing.
